Bed Bugs

Bed Bugs in Great Falls, Montana

What are bed bugs?

Bed bugs are brown small oval bugs that live off of the blood of humans and animals. Their bodies typically swell and turn a reddish brown color after they “eat”. Bed Bugs get their name because they like to hide in mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and headboards.

How do I know if I have bed bugs?

The presence of small brown bugs around the bed and small bug bites especially around the ankles are signs that you may have bed bugs in your home. At first bed bug bites are typically painless, but eventually become itchy welts. Other signs include blood stains on your sheets, dark or rusty spots on sheets or mattresses, or shed skins in areas where bugs hide.

What should I do if I suspect Bed Bugs?

There are a few things you can do on your own to try and get rid of bed bugs including cleaning all of your linens at 120 degrees fahrenheit or hotter to kill the bugs and eggs & thoroughly vacuum the infested area. Ultimately, bed bugs can be hard to get rid of and may have infected more than one part of your home. That is why you should work with a professional to make sure they are removed thoroughly. Bug Doctor Pest Control can help you remove all bed bugs and help you prevent them from infesting your home again.
